New Year's Resolutions

I usually try to set 2-3 resolutions each year.  In 2011, I resolved to pay off my debt, lose some weight, and organize my house.  I DID pay off my debt, I DID lose weight, and I DID organize my house.  (You may recall my posts from the beginning of the year highlighting the before & after photos of my freshly cleaned abode.)


Well, we moved this year, so I racked up some more debt, gained back most of the weight I lost, and I haven't gotten the new house organized yet.  I'm also expecting baby #3 in June, so I can't expect to lose weight anytime soon.  At any rate, here are my resolutions for 2012...

1. Get this house organized top to bottom.  I will probably do the 21 day challenge again b/c that is definitely a good place to start.
2. Pay off my credit card debt (again).  I have one regular credit card & an Old Navy card... and I've resolved not to shop at Old Navy until that one is paid off completely.
3. Plan more menus.  We eat out more than we should, and I can't even imagine how much extra money we spend when we do that.  So I'm going to plan more menus, try new recipes, and hopefully we'll all be healthier, too!  If I come across any super easy/yummy recipes, I'll be sure to share. 
4. Organize my photo albums.  I have stacks of photos in various places around the house & I just need to stick them into albums & frames.  It would probably only take me a couple of days if I could just focus.

Coming in 2012...

I'm going to try some new things at CrazySocks Crochet in the new year.  Here are a few things you can expect to see...

*Weekly Deals:  I did this briefly in 2011, but you can expect a new sale and/or coupon code each week.  The weekly deals will be posted on Sunday mornings, and will expire on the following Friday night.


*OOAK Sales:  I have organized my planner so that I will have more time to create more OOAK (one of a kind).  These hats will be RTS & will be sold in "Fast Fingers" style.  Visit my fan page for more information.

*Auctions:  Occasionally, I will have some items in stock (leftover from testing patterns) that will be available via auction.

*Monthly Giveaways:  I will host a monthly giveaway here on my blog.  The giveaway will be posted on the first Monday of the month & the winners will be drawn on the last Monday of the month.  Each month, one or two other vendors will join me in giving away some themed prizes.  There will be reminders, but there is also a button on the left side of the blog you can click to take you straight to the current giveaway.

*New Patterns:  My goal is to write at least one new pattern each month.  I'll also try to add a couple of freebies to my blog.

*CAL/KAL:  Mama's Little Monkeys is hosting a Crochet Along/Knit Along.  Everyone will be making dishcloths each month.  I'll be participating & you should too!  Click on the Crochet Along link up top for more info.
